This year, Hadley’s Orient Hotel is celebrating its 190th birthday. To commemorate its storied past, the hotel is embarking on a journey through time, offering unique and enchanting experiences. Historic events and guests come to life through a trail of immersive audio stories, regaling tales of roller skating, ice cream and intrigue. The spirit of Victorian parlour games is also embraced through custom-designed playing cards featuring former guests and ornate details of the décor. With every shuffle of the deck, guests discover moments in Tasmanian history. Visitors and guests are also invited to delve into the hotel’s past with a new express murder mystery game.
