This cultural icon was once the only access for the families that lived and worked along the railway line, where the motto ‘find a way or make a way’ was one to live by. Today, journey in comfortable carriages pulled by the rail’s original, heritage locomotives and listen to the stories of those that called this inhospitable place their home. Stop at remote stations, take in the surrounding environment, and pause to admire the tenacity and resilience of those that came before us.
