The Tasmania Football Club is proud to be stepping onto the field at this year’s Tasmanian Tourism Showcase, taking place at Princes Wharf 1, nipaluna / Hobart on Saturday 26 July 2025. The club will be bringing with them their larger-than-life mascot, Rum’un the Tasmanian Devil, plus fan-favourite merchandise and a big dose of Tassie pride.
This marks a special opportunity for the Club to connect with locals, visitors, and industry as Tasmania builds excitement around its entry into the national AFL competition.
Kath McCann, General Manager – Marketing, Public Affairs and Social Impact at the Tasmania Football Club, says the team is thrilled to be involved in such a uniquely Tasmanian celebration.
“The Tasmanian Tourism Showcase is a brilliant event that not only brings together our tourism operators but also engages the broader community and young people from across the state,” Ms McCann said.
“Tourism is such a vital industry for Tasmania, and we’re excited to play our part in strengthening the connection between tourism and sport. As we prepare to bring elite AFL games to Tasmania throughout the winter months, we see immense opportunity to collaborate with tourism partners to deliver powerful outcomes for the state.”
Visitors to the Showcase will be able to grab some Tassie Devils merchandise, and take a photo with Rum’un – the spirited, cheeky devil who’s fast becoming a beloved symbol of Tasmania’s sporting future.
The Club’s involvement highlights the growing synergy between Tasmania’s tourism and sporting industries, and the shared passion for showcasing what makes this island so special.
The Tasmania Football Club will be at the Showcase all day Saturday, and entry is free. Come along and be part of the team as we celebrate Tasmania’s future – on the field and beyond.
